Venice is the last Italian city we are visiting before we make our way to France by train. This morning (Friday 8 June) we stopped for our obligatory morning coffee at Ermenegildo Rosa Salva, for ‘une cafe Americano and une espresso’. I was very impressed with the cafe Americano as I was given hot water so I could determine how I wanted the strength of the brew. There was a busy, but good vibe in this place, before we once again headed out into the crowds, the most serious we’ve seen from all our time in Italy.
